This story is about a woman who was always late.
She was late for every single class in school, every birthday party she was invited to, every date she ever went to.
Even her own wedding.
"You're too late..." he said. "Again."
1ST DRAFT - This is how I originally pictured the illustration. Our homework was to create an original concept art with a backstory. Inspired by my own experiences (lol), I came up with a story of a woman who was always late... and faced the consequences.
2ND DRAFT - I felt that the initial layout didn't illustrate clearly the plot of the picture, so I switched the point of view, this time allowing the audience to see a bigger picture of where she was.
LINE ART - I love illustrating details! To make sure that the focal point of the picture was on the bride, I gave her the most details by giving her wedding dress an elegant lace design.
PAINTING IN GRAYSCALE - Although painting in grayscale wasn't easy, it was really fun to learn!
